6 KCS F units near Sulphur Springs,Tx -- Dec 81

6 KCS F units (it looks like two were slugs) head west between Shreveport and Greenville towards Sulphur Springs,Tx.
They are bringing back empty coal cars from the interchange with the power plant line in Pittsburg. They will drop the cars off at the coal mine at Sulphur Springs and tie up at the station.

VERY nice shot! VERY nice location. KCS is one of MY favorite roads. I followed that line when they still ran that train, but later, when they used 6 GP40's. Too bad.

That wouldn't happen to be the dip and hill between Leesburg and Monticello, would it?
