Here's the 2689 in December of 1985. SW1500 2637 pauses during it's downtown switching duties in San Francisco. Not long after this photo the Virginia City would see a resurrection of sorts into a very successful PV.

 Date: 04/18/05 17:50 Virginia City and Cruds Author: shed47 It's reassuring to know that more than two decades later the Virginia City and cruds are still part of San Jose railroading. In October of last year Caltrain 504 leads the VC north through Santa Clara on a deadhead move to Redwood Jct. UP's Broadway Local will forward it on to the Port of R.C. later that evening.
