Nostalgia & History > Coach Yard CrudsDate: 04/18/05 14:34 Coach Yard Cruds Author: rattenne The long time San Jose coach yard switcher was SW1500 2689, which bumped the previous assigned switcher, H12-44 2350.
Here's the 2689 in December of 1985. Date: 04/18/05 14:37 Re: Coach Yard Cruds Author: rattenne The only passenger car still sitting around Mission Bay Yard in 1982 was the Virginia City, seen in the background. SW1500 2637 pauses during it's downtown switching duties in San Francisco. Not long after this photo the Virginia City would see a resurrection of sorts into a very successful PV.

In October of last year Caltrain 504 leads the VC north through Santa Clara on a deadhead move to Redwood Jct. UP's Broadway Local will forward it on to the Port of R.C. later that evening.

Do you know the former number of CalTrain 503? Date: 04/18/05 22:59 Re: Coach Yard Cruds Author: fjc Believe the 503 is the SP 2691 and the 504 is the SP 2692.
