The skyline has changed alot since then, on a slide dated 12-76. PS- I wasn't in the Navy, just an open house...

If you panned right you would see the Naval Supply Depot and 11th ND HQ, also HQ for the NavCommSta San Diego where I whiled away my time in the early sixties. Spent many an hour watching ships like the Tarawa tie up on the SD waterfront.
