Nostalgia & History > Remembering Dave BurtonDate: 05/18/05 11:36 Remembering Dave Burton Author: TonyJ After posting some of my slides this morning I checked the date on my TEHACAHAPI 2005 wall calendar. The May photo is another one of Dave Burton's gems and I thought of some of Dave's color slides.
Many of you knew Dave, and that he passed away very unexpectedly last November. I first met Dave in 1987 (I think) and a few friends and I were with him about three weeks before his passing. Over the years we traded slides, videos, tall tales and so on. In rememberance of a good friend to all I'll share eight of Dave's color slides. I chose these because he took them out of his normal territory. The captions are from what Dave wrote on his slides. Enjoy! The first slide if Erie Mining #4212 at Dunka Jct. on June 18, 1992 at 4:15 pm.
