BN did have some pride
Author: FT

For a long time those of us that missed the fallen flags making up the BN refered to it as
the "Big Nothing". I was surprised in Sept. '94 to find this sign welcoming crews to the
Spokane Division, after crossing over the Columbia River at Rock Island, WA. I can't recall
seeing it after that. Wonder if the RR removed it or it was "collected" by someone?

BNSF seems to as well. I saw a very classy sign marking the continental divide on a western visit at Marias Pass in 2004.

I passed a similar sign north of Texline, TX welcoming crews to the Denver Division. It was nicely done.

Probably taken down when the divisions were realigned (may be in someone's garage though). But I have seen signs similar to this at other yardes / division / region / service unit boundaries under BNSF and on UP too.
