Canadian Railroads > Who would have thought...Date: 12/08/08 02:52 Who would have thought... Author: cp1400 I was sorting through some old slides tonight and I came across this image I had taken as a 12 yr old in 1969. Our school was on a class trip across Canada to experience the culture and language in Montreal. It was a long trip from Vancouver so I spent part of the time photographing passing trains. Somewhere between Redpass Jct and Edmonton we stopped in a siding for a meet. I sat paitently at the window to capture this image of CN FP9 6515 heading west.
The number looked familiar so I did a little checking. I discovered this engine became Via 6515 then Via 6307 then Ohio Central 6307 and now CP 4106. CP 4106 is one of two FP9 units CP acquired from OHCR for service on the Royal Canadian Pacific. I have extensively photographed it in the last 16 months. It's a small world. cp1400 PS Thanks to the Canadian Trackside Guide for the history on CN 6515. Date: 12/08/08 05:53 Re: Who would have thought...
