Winter pictures?
Author: hoggerdoug

Aw, what the heck, lots of great "winter" shots over on the other boards, maybe us Canucks ought to post some of our favorites as well, after all isn't Canada the "Great White North". Lets see your shots of winter. Hey BCOL 4601 has a great shot of the BCOL 4601 slogging up Alexandria.

These pictures were taken at Dunkly BC, train 470, Nov 3, 2007, ah told my Conductor that I had to make a "nature break" during our switching moves there, I had to chuckle when I got back in the cab, over the radio "once you are finished taking your "foamer pictures" you can backup anytime you are ready, it's f@#k%ng cold out here, OVER".

Here are three taken on March 8, 2008, on the York Sub in Toronto. VIA #1 is obvious, however I don't know train numbers for the other two.

Photo 1 at Kenora ON. reminds me of our trip on the Canadian in Jan. 2005 and how the vestibules looked when we arrived in Winnipeg eastbound! I was certainly glad that I'd quit smoking about five years before then, because I certainly didn't envy the smokers who were freezing their butts on the platform while I sat in the Park car with a hot coffee!,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,8>)

The Ontario Northland mixed train from Moosonee has arrived in Cochrane, ON and dropped the passenger cars off at the station. The power has run around and yarded the freight cars, and is now backing the flat cars to the ramp for unloading. 02/22/2003

Great shots everyone. Sort of a "Day in Canada" to coin Dale Sander's phrase.
