This local was waiting at the station as I prepared to board the Scoot for a return trip to Brownville Junction in the mid 1960s.

The image has held up very well....thanks for posting it. Do you have pictures from your ride on the Scoot? That was about as "backwoods" a passenger train as there was in the 1960's US.
