In #1 to 5, the Canadian is westbound descending the hill into Field, B.C., with the Mount Stephen Tunnel (Mile 133.8, CP Laggan Subdivision) and snowshed at Mile 133.9 visible.

Are those shots from the roadside, or was Roger trekking cross-country to get those amazing views?

Pretty much guardrail railfanning. Both locations are within yards of the Trans Canada highway

Thanks Darren.  Wow...some incredible mountains, mountain railroading and views available there in Canada.  I'm way overdue for a railfanning trip up that way, so I gotta get planning!
