the Fraser River. At this point the engine is pointed northwest but it is just beginning an almost 180 degree turn that will point it east on the CP Cascade Sub. This is the start of directional running where all eastbound traffic from Mission uses CP tracks while all westbound trains run on the CN (south) side of the river...
