Up here in the great white north we call them Van's, especially them CP boys! :) Date: 04/19/17 11:45 Re: CP 6022 Author: CCMF Except for CP 5400-5401 (QNSL 204-205) which had neither snow shields or large fuel tanks.

Must be an eastern thing. Brian Date: 04/19/17 13:36 Re: CP 6022 Author: algoma11 The tanks were at the rear of the unit in the hood behind those small door vents. Follow the roof piping.

Bob's perfectly correct in calling the caboose a van. Van is what they were called in eastern Canada. And not just by fans and message boards. The railways themselves called them vans. That said, in B.C. we called them "cabs". KG Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 04/19/17 14:04 by kgmontreal. Date: 04/19/17 13:57 Re: CP 6022 Author: moonliter greasemonkey Wrote:

I remember going west for the first time back in 1974 they were called cabooses. Gerry Gaugl Ottawa ON |
