Canadian Railroads > Unique Canada 150 VIA 1 car

Apparently 3476 is thus far the only VIA 1 car with a Canada 150 wrap.
The wrap looks slightly different to the coach behind it...no city names and the big yellow VIA is in the middle.

Seen here on #645 at Haskill Road, Port Hope, ON on Sunday afternoon.

Incidentally the 6416 has joined the ranks of wrapped F40's, together with the 6402 and 6454.

It has been reported that only one Business Class car will get the wrap. The wrap style appears to be the same as the lounge car 1750 (known as Glenfraser although it doesn't bear the name). A side view of Glenfraser can be found through a Google search. I suspect I would not be allowed to post the link. I admit I find the wraps of the locomotives and coaches to be attractive - with the exception of Glenfraser and the Business Class car.

Here's my shot of the Glenfraser. I don't really see a difference in the attractiveness or otherwise.

Not trying to start an on-line bun fight, but I do see DrawingroomA's point on this one. Maybe it's because the contemporary look of the wrap is better suited to a contemporary (sort of; how many years old are the LRCs now?) car, with non-vertical sides, sitting low on the trucks and all.

Of course it's a matter of personal taste. The wraps on the locomotives and LRC coaches each have a listing of four places served by VIA. Some thought went into these. With Glenfraser and the one Business Class car, other than the VIA in the centre, there are just typical modern art colours which signify nothing in particular.
