Downtown Montreal in the background
Author: Mberry

CN 120 with clean CN 8900 leading CN 2275, CN 8807 & CN 2233 has 636 axles as it heads east on the St-Hyacinthe Sub this morning, with the skyline of downtown Montreal in the background. I am standing on the Taschereau Boulevard overpass in Longueuil, Qc, just west of Southwark yard.

There's a picture of the same train from the same vantage point on the back cover of Issue 49 of Railroad Explorer (the latest one). It was taken in 2008 by Dominic Bourgeois. The area around the tracks is really growing in now.

Indeed, on top of that a condo being built at right is already blocking part of the downtown skyline.
