What a difference a year makes...
Author: Ray_Murphy

These pictures were taken from the St Jacques overpass on the border between Ville St-Pierre and Montreal West.

On May 20th last year, the removal of the Route 138 overpass at the CN Turcot West location had just been completed, opening up the S-curve view. Picture #1 shows Via #63 heading to Toronto. For years, the area on the south side of the tracks had been a combination of a pole line and thick brush.

By the way, the cloud of dust in the background of this picture is caused by machinery chopping up the concrete of of the former overpass.

Picture #2, taken yesterday evening, Shows Via #669. It’s a little wider angle, but shows that the poles and brush are completely gone, and a new ditching project is nearly completed.

I saw you on that overpass last night, I was driving back home with my family from NDG!
