F unit Friday
Author: hoggerdoug

One for today from January 1973, Bruce Mercer photo posted with permission. Image taken near Kings Road, Aldershot as it was proceeding east on the CN Oakville sub to Canpa Jct to CP Rail Agincourt. The train is the joint train operated by CP and PC between Toronto and Frontier yard, half the trip was over the TH&B from Hamilton. The train was designated FT1 & TF2. Locally it was called the Kinnear and the TH&B crews called it the Montrose Job.

Even more remarkable for PC, two units in the same paint scheme.

Nice nostalgia. How many people at the time chose not to shoot these ugly black PC units? Shoot anything while you have the chance. Maybe even CP AC4400CW....

Also interesting to note are the white flags as per Canadian practice for an extra train. Never saw a PC locomotive as such.
