Date: 07/19/17 15:51 Re: Algoma Central Good Ole Days Author: bodkin6071 The AC #183 and #187 in later life. Looked just as good in the WC maroon & gold.
1 #183, later WC #6002. Now the W&LE #6315. 2. #187, later WC #6005. Date: 07/19/17 16:23 Re: Algoma Central Good Ole Days Author: rschonfelder It was a very handsome Canadian railroad. They often put out units for lease too. I love the PSC caboose and really would like to find a TLT version of it.
Rick Date: 07/19/17 19:49 Re: Algoma Central Good Ole Days Author: algoma11 That was a 67 alright!
The WC actually did a great job of resurrecting the AC. They redid track, bridges, increased traffic. Then came CN only because they wanted the track thru Stevens point to Chicago. I did like the WC scheme even at the expense of the ACR colors! ------------------------------------------------------- > Is that steam generator car ex-NP? Yes it is - ex NP H-5. First photo is of the NP H-3 which would become the AC 81 (yes I know the numbers were reversed when they were repainted into ACR colours). Second photo is of the AC 80, which was the NP H-5. Here it is fresh out of the paint shop and being tested. The rebuild of these two steam generators was a winter time project 1972-1973. Ted Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/19/17 22:16 by ACR_Ted. I didn't get one account they did the same number as Overland did in their brass van. I do have one of the CNR TLT vans and it is very nice. Ted Date: 07/20/17 16:52 Re: Algoma Central Good Ole Days Author: rrcaboose The AC turntable was located INSIDE the roundhouse!
rrcaboose Date: 07/20/17 19:44 Re: Algoma Central Good Ole Days Author: algoma11 Turntable was inside. The only other one was CN at Hornpayne!
