What do they have in that tank car? An oil burner to keep it from freezing?

I saw that, but it's the stack I was wondering about.

It had a small oil stove cut into one corner and the whole car covered in spray on insulation.

I was told once that CN only ever had 1 tank car, and it was used in MOW service. I used to see it down here in Niagara Falls from time to time on the MOW trains, but I don't know if there was in fact only 1, or what the number was of the one I saw down here.

I have shots of others, which I'm going to post in a new thread in case people have left this one behind. I'll cross-reference. Should be July 22, or 23 if I don't beat midnight PST.

There are still 2 MOW Water cars up in Whitecourt Alberta on the Sangudo Sub just outside Edmonton Ab. I believe they still use them to fight wildfires in the region, with the amount of wooden trestles up there I'm surprised they only have the 2! When I worked out of Whitecourt as a Track Maintainer back in 1997 they had quite a few wild fires that spring, I remember at each siding there were a locomotive and a couple of those water cars just in case!!
