Canadian Railroads > one for water tank Wednesday

E&N at Parksville BC, August 1981. I was on the island visiting family and took this image, hopefully I wandered down the track and got a better shot of the water tank. So far I have not found anymore images from there. Is there a song about Parksville, something about the last train from..... Doug

Will, I think there has been a last train to Parksville as well. Doug

The Parksville water tower is preserved, moved slightly off site, so is the station. In a land of octagonal water towers, the un protected towers are rarer.

I hate to admit it, but you may be right!
The whole E&N situation has been totally mishandled by the people who were put in charge of it.

I absolutely love this shot; I only saw Parksville in the Railink/ENR era, so this looked very different. Thanks for posting!
