Canadian Railroads > NS and CSX power on the Kingston SubDate: 09/22/17 18:10 NS and CSX power on the Kingston Sub Author: Mberry The last day of summer this year found me on the St-Jean overpass in Pointe-Claire and I was lucky to shoot a train with CSX leaders (not uncommon on the Kingston Sub near Montreal) and another with solid NS power (much rarer).
1-First up was CN 585 (generally a night train in the Montreal area) with two NS EMD units (SD70M-2 NS 2688 & SD70ACe NS 1133) borrowed from the CN 528/529 pool. The train is mostly composed of loaded TankTrain cars, with a bit of mixed freight up front. 2-A bit over an hour later CN 327 passed. It had quite a bit of power, with ET44AC CSX 3265, repainted AC4400CW CSXT 57, SD60 CN 5440 & ES44DC CN 2335.
