CN's Edmonton AB to Prince Rupert, BC -- single or double track
Author: linton122

Hi,

I'm trying to learn if CN's line from Edmonton, AB to Prince Rupert, BC is single- or double-track. OR if both, what are the single track sections -- what are double track sections?

Also, what is typical traffic over this line per day?

Is this considered busy, or not?

How has traffic changed over the past three years?

In advance, thanks.

We drove over to Prince Rupert while returning from Fairbanks and found single track on the west end (Terrace to Prince Rupert).

Majority of the route from Edmonton to Rupert is single track, although there are some sections of double track.
