Canadian Railroads > For hoggerdoug - BCOL 4643 leading CN 324Date: 02/13/18 18:48 For hoggerdoug - BCOL 4643 leading CN 324 Author: Mberry As I was about to leave my house for a bit of railfanning after lunch, my friend heard on the scanner that BCOL 4643 was leading CN 324. This is one of only four BCOL Dash9-44CWL's and one of the three still in BCOL paint. It was a sunny day so I headed out to intercept it and get as many shots as I could. GTW 4900 was trailing on this 54-car train and seemingly they did not have enough power, as a video on Facebook shows that a pair of NECR switchers had to help them get into Italy Yard in St. Albans, Vermont. The crew did not want to have the GTW unit lead on the return trip (as CN 323) and wyed the power or spun it on the turntable.
1-CN 324 rounds a curve in Brossard near MP 36 of CN's Rouses Point Sub. 2-The train approaches the L'Acadie siding about eight miles further south. 3-The train passes through the small town of Saint-Blaise-sur-Richelieu, about another 13 miles further south.
