June 2004 trip west.. three images of trains at the western portals of CP's and CN Black Canyon Tunnels.... a few miles west of Ashcroft BC..

Great photos, I have no clue what the photographer is standing on though. I've been in the area a couple of times ( transmission rebuilt in Cache Creek for example ) but did not know about Black Canyon until photos were published in CTC Board way back when.

Interesting to see the diversion rock work in the river, the power and raw ability of the Fraser and the Thompson and the effect on the geology are an amazing thing to see and feel in those canyons. The original work building the CP and the CN is simply amazing.

I thought these were hard to get to locations because the photographer is on Indian Reserve? Can anyone confirm?
