Canadian Railroads > Two weeks left

With two weeks left before CP terminates CP 132 & CP 133 (the only dedicated piggyback trains left in Canada), I went out to shoot CP 133 for what may be my last chance. I ended up shooting it from the same overpass that Ray Murphy had been on a few hours later, ironically I was shooting with his son. Unfortunately CP 133 passed about 15 minutes before sunset, with the sun long gone from track level.

1-Here a shorter than usual CP 133 passes with CP 8948 & CP 9536 for power.

2-Here is what the shot could have looked like, with the last outbound RTM train of the day passing about an hour before CP 133.

3-CN 309 passed on the parallel CN Kingston Sub about half an hour before CP 133, with still enough light left.

Unless CP has changed their cost and accounting structure for these trains I have no idea why CP is claiming they are losing money.

Another 200 trucks on the 401 everyday. Just what the world needs!!!!
