couple from "on this day"
Author: hoggerdoug

July 8, 2008 at the BC Rail diesel shop, south yard Prince George BC.  These units were perhaps my favorite to operate. They looked good, felt heavy, rode well and sure could pull. There was a standard control stand, not that horrible "desktop" back breaker.

Interestingly enough I shot BCOL 4652 leading CN 527 just yesterday afternoon in Montreal. In the first shot it is temporarly advancing over the St-Ambroise crossing before backing its lift up to the rest of its train. Forty-five minutes later with its lift completed, the train is heading for Taschereau Yard as it passes over the De Courcelle crossing.

Micheal, sort of a back to the future imagery. 10 years apart and I see in your image 4652 is still sporting 2 red stanchion posts on the front platform. Gee after 10 years thought they might have been painted silver.  Doug
