CN ordered to reopen James Street Thunder Bay bridge to vehicles

A joint use rail, vehicle and pedestrian bridge owned by CN was damaged by fire in 2013, and has been closed to vehicles since then. Locals are very unhappy, and the courts have ordered CN to allow vehicles. CN has objected on safety grounds.

The James Street swing bridge provides access to a First Nations reserve.
