Actually, it was more like take eight or nine, the number of minutes it took CN 120 to pass this track work crew in Ville St-Pierre [Montreal] this morning (Pictures #1, #2). They were replacing a couple of lengths of rail and doing other maintenance on the 3rd and 4th tracks here.

Earlier, before the rail replacement on the 4th track started, two machinery-powered sets of 4 ballast cars shuttled by on their way to the Turcot relocation project worksite (Picture #3, this set powered by a trackmobile). At the Turcot site, the new track construction is now well advanced.

Great series of pictures.  Would like to hear comments from rails on the safety aspects of how this gang performed while this train is passing and the ballast move comes by them.
