Sunday afternoon in the Eastern Townships
Author: Mberry

This past Sunday afternoon I headed to Quebec's Eastern Townships to get a shot of the Orford Express at Eastman. I checked out Farnham on the way there and back; while nothing was moving I was able to shoot a parked train with CMQ's relatively new GE power on the way back (once the sun had swung around enough to get shadows off the nose of the lead unit).

1&2- With its namesake Mont-Orford looming in the background, the Orford Express is seen approaching and then crossing the Eastman trestle before changing directions and heading east to Sherbrooke. Leading is the only FL9 in use in Canada.

3-After arriving in Farnham on Saturday, CMQ 1 is parked on the main line just west of town. Power is their two AC4400CW's (CMQ 1006 & CMQ 1002).

Great set of photos  . . even though I live in Canada (west coast), didn't realize there was an Express back there
