Craig mcmrailvideos.com Date: 11/17/18 18:05 Re: From the Super Continental - station at Brandon North Author: eminence_grise Brandon North was quite some distance from Brandon MB, which is on the CP main line. Probably the taxi in the image has bought passengers from Brandon. The "Canadian" operated through Brandon in the years the "Super Continental" operated through Brandon North, however passengerrs for cities such as Saskatoon and Edmonton may have found the CN route more convenient.

Fred Date: 11/17/18 21:21 Re: From the Super Continental - station at Brandon North Author: Willie-J As a child of 5 years old I went from Brandon to Brandon North in the summer of 1945 with my parents. My father's younger brother had returned to Canada from Europe and was passing through on a troop train en route to Vancouver. We did manage to see him. There was much love shared during the breif station stop.

A few years ago VIA cancelled the conditional stop at Brandon North. I remember the small shelter there. One of our friends said it wasn't much bigger than an outhouse. |
