on this day
Author: hoggerdoug

November 23, 2008, on train 571 at Williams Lake, BC the former BC Rail, getting ready to leave town. Had CN 5663 leading, the yard was in the clear with CN power, hard to believe it was BC Rail not long ago.

Your photos in this long-running series are truely rare since they are taken from the cab.
Thanks for posting these.

If you mean a long nose in comparison to one of the C40-8M's, it's not your imagination. I don't know the dimensions, but the GE units, conventional cabs, had a shorter short hood, compared to GM's proportions, and it carried through to the wide-nose versions as well, I think. Same with MLW's wide-nose, which you'd have also ridden on BCR, I guess.
