Canadian Railroads > A Break From All Those GEsDate: 11/24/18 18:06 A Break From All Those GEs Author: cn6218 Specifically, all those GEVOs, or as KG would say, the "Borings".
We got a bit of a respite this past week in Nova Scotia with an SD70M-2 showing up on 511, westbound at Lantz below on the 22nd. Later that day, 120 arrived with a pair of "Thunder Cabs" (non-isolated cab SD70M-2s) leading, and 8867 as DPU as the train crossed Moirs Mill Pond in Bedford. Sunshine hasn't exactly been in abundance either the past week. I was lucky to get what I did here. GTD Date: 11/24/18 18:16 Re: A Break From All Those GEs Author: cn6218 The next day at the same location, 120 was late once again, with Dash-9s up front this time, but a once common SD75I trailed, and another Thunder Cab was working as DPU. 8007 looks like it has had a re-paint at some point (sketchy lettering and no class designation). Perhaps this is one of the SD70M-2s that has been run through the rotary dumper at Roberts Bank in BC. :-)
Since the 23rd was a Wednesday, VIA 15 was held up for 15 or 20 minutes at Millview, waiting for 120 to clear on the Transfer Track. VIA has been all-GM down here since the end of the '80s, so it was wrapped 6402 leading the Ocean past Theodore Tugboat in his winter berth at the Bedford Marina. GTD Edited 1 time(s).
