Railway Age names CN CEO J.J. Ruest as Railroader of the Year
Author: Marcus

Railway Age magazine has named its 56th Railroader of the Year,
CN's President and CEO Jean-Jacques Ruest.
He was initially made Interim President and CEO in March, 2018, after the previous CEO was dismissed.

As quoted in Railway Age magazine,
“JJ Ruest took a railroad plagued with service problems and serious network capacity shortages
and implemented aggressive capital investment and service quality programs,”
said Railway Age Editor-in-Chief William C. Vantuono.
“These efforts have produced outstanding results, in terms of traffic growth and profitability..."
