Another high bid slide on that auction site
Author: Valleyman

For those that remember the high bid of $496.00 for a slide a few weeks back, this one leaves that one in the dusk. This would be a nice down payment on a new car. By the way there’s another one going for $706.50. Can’t figure out why on this one.

IIRC, CNW only had one A-B-B-A set of FA's and this one is pristine, as are the two EMD's in their original paint. Not to mention all those wooden reefers! But yeah, it's "only" a wedgie. :-)

Another fantastic old shot, most likely to go into somebodys private collection to never be seen again.

Remember this is eBay, who because of the way they changed their rules many years ago makes it very easy for "shills" to bid up items. In this case there were only a couple of bidders but one who bid many, many times driving the price up. Because all you see are the first and last letters/numbers of a name it's hard to know who is playing out there. I stopped doing anything on eBay years ago.

May I ask with respect why this is listed in the Canadian Railroads section?  Thanks.

Wondered that also. Also found another listing for $2750.   Wonder if this is just a technique to attract attention for other sales.?
