The Motorman And His View - TTC

Here are two photos that tell a simple story.
1.) It is mid-June 1972 in Toronto, and the motorman of TTC PCC 4391 is paying close attention to the traffic ahead.
2.) Here is/was his view. TTC 4467 is approaching and will soon pass.

I always loved the curved windshields on some of the TTC's PCC's.

PCC's resemble GMC Old Look transit buses, which originated in 1939.
Who copied who ?

The first pic looks to be King St E approaching Sackville EB.

The second one appears to be Queen St E approaching Broadview EB.
