Canadian Railroads > Last and first trains of the yearDate: 01/02/19 18:35 Last and first trains of the year Author: Mberry I shot a few trains on the last day of 2018 and a few more on the first day of 2019, here are two from each day.
1-On a grey New Year's Eve, VIA 6455 & VIA 910 lead VIA 635 as it crosses from the north to the south track of CN's Kingston Sub in the St-Henri of Montreal. 2-Ethanol train CP 650 with CP 9831 & CSXT 3448 for power is passing the Du Canal Station a bit later that afternoon in Lachine. 3-CN 5734 & CN 2528 lead a very short CN 527 past Turcot Ouest as it heads towards Taschereau Yard on the new portion of CN's Montreal Sub. 4-CN 323 is passing underneath a set of signals in Montreal West 25 minutes before sunset, with CN 2509, CN 8886, CN 2565 & 81 cars received in interchange from the NECR in St. Albans, VT. Nothing matches at all; not colours, not roof lines (yes, I am aware the coaches are passing through a turnout), nothing.
