Canadian Railroads > BAR far from homeDate: 02/07/19 03:38 BAR far from home Author: hoggerdoug A few images taken at Chetwynd BC, June 1973. BC Rail had at least 4 BAR Geeps to help out with power shortage. Not sure how long the units were on the property. First image is BAR 73 - 69 & 63 most likely ready on train No 48, Chetwynd to Prince George. Rest of the images are of the other BAR units. I did not bother cleaning these old "Kodak Instamatic" moments, not very good quality.

It was the only one in that paint scheme of 8 BAR geeps leased by the Long Island Rail Road in the early 70's. Here it is at Ronkonkoma, NY. Photo was taken by either my Dad the late Stephen J Benkovitz or Michael Woodruff the father of Brian Woodruff the person who's collection it is from.
