Is 6001 the unit that is preserved and on a view site?

6001 is preserved at the Prince George Railway and Forestry Museum in Prince George BC. The locomotive was saved from being scrapped by the Roy family who had family members that worked for BC Rail, it was a very generous thing for them to do as all the other locos went for scrap.
Do a google for BCOL 6001
