Looking Over Hamilton Harbour
Author: refarkas

I am near Bayview Junction, Ontario looking south over Hamilton Harbour to the CN tracks paralleling it. It is June 1980, and in these two photos the same Hamilton bound CN train is seen. The CN van in photo two makes a perfect end to the train.

Looks like an ICG piggyback trailer under this signal bridge in the first photo... if you told everyone on the bridge that day that CN and IC would one day merge they would have thought you were coo-coo.

Neat. Where would this short pig train be headed? Did CN have a ramp near Niagara Falls?

There was one in Hamilton... not sure if there were any others in the Niagara Region (eg. Dain City was only served by NS I believe)
