J-train 52/62 with HEP2 business car in new livery.
Author: newtonville150

I baptized my new smartphone (an LG G7 thinQ) on Thursday morning with this shot of a VIA Eastbound passing Danforth GO station.
Note freshly out-shopped VIA HEP2 Business Car #4004, sporting a new paint scheme, directly behind the lead unit.

Can't tell what color the window band is, but it looks like D&H or C&O.

Letter board is yellow and the window band is blue. Kind of a Delaware & Hudson knockoff.

It would look neat if they put that car on the Adirondack.
I suppose they plan to retain the HEP-II's for off-corridor uses if they are doing overhauls after the new train sets have been ordered.

I saw newtonville150's train later in the day in Brockville, ON.  It also caught me by surprise but I initially thought it was a very dark green as the train raced by me.  I was hoping to catch another rebuilt car later in the day, I was not disappointed.

Photo 1: VIA No.62 racing through Brockville ON, on February 7, 2019.  VIA Business Class 4004 in its new paint.

Photo 2: VIA No.64 stopping in Brockville on February 7, 2019.  This time it is a coach 4112 in its new paint scheme which is defiantly green, it however is missing the VIA Rail Canada logo.  Comparing the two cars, I'm inclined to say the first car is grey with yellow.

I'd call it a dark turqouise, not a distinct blue or green, same color NYCT now paints their els.
I don't like it - dreary.

Prestige cars have dark gray letterboard, the only coloring. I don't think that is very attactive either.

Do the HEP-2 business class cars and/or coaches operate on certain Montreal-Toronto trains?  Or are they just randomly mixed with LRC cars?   Regardless of paint scheme, it is good to see Budds being upgraded.   BSB
