Canadian Railroads > Miserable Alberta Monday's-Strangers In Paradise

January of 1978 was the start up for what I believe was the first cross border locomotive run through operations between Canadian and American railroads. At least in Western Canada. Lethbridge Alberta to Hinkle Oregon trains initially saw Union Pacific equip a group SD40-2's with Canadian mandated ditch lights as one of the most visible features. On January 29, 1978, UP 3128-3141-3219 & 3385 hold the main for a meet at Fort MacLeod. Richard Yaremko

The elevator row and boxcars are brilliant, and UP has always looked good. I'm sure that's "Hinkle" Oregon; you working on some WWII German bomber model (just teasin', and yes, I know that's spelled "Heinkel")? By the way, I thought the Cowichan Valley was Paradise.
