Canadian Railroads > Miserable Alberta Monday's - Heat and Smoke EditionDate: 03/04/19 14:47 Miserable Alberta Monday's - Heat and Smoke Edition Author: tsokolan Here's a different kind of miseary in Alberta for this Monday. 2018 was not a great year in Western Canada. With forest fires spread across three provinces, there were very few clear days all summer, with the air quality tanking as well. Add in some hotter then normal temperatures, you could say we had a miserable summer. On a stifling August afternoon, L511 passes St Paul Junction heading south for Edmonton. on the Vegreville sub The crew has done what they can to pull some air into the cab of the lead SD40-2W, but it will be a sticky ride into the city.

Just pushing your buttons a bit, but the "surface of Mars" shots from last year were not pleasant. I hope we (and BC) don't get a repeat, but I'm not optimistic (I almost said I'm not holding my breath!).
