Canadian Railroads > Laggan Sub - Mar 10Date: 03/10/19 17:31 Laggan Sub - Mar 10 Author: KickingHorse At 8:10 this morning I catch 100 heading east through downtown Canmore. My lens is acting up again and half the pics are garbage.
Later I headed out again and there's a 201 heading west. I catch it going over Banff Ave but the lens ain't any better.Fortunately I do catch 201 later. I know there's more eastbounds coming and now it's afternoon Castle should be a good spot. 301 departed Banff shortly but they were going in the hole again at Massive for another eastbound. I got to Castle and met a young lad shooting video at Castle. The eastbound I missed was a grain empties so no big deal. There will be another eastbound but in the meantime 301 goes by to meet the eastbound at Eldon. Date: 03/10/19 18:07 Re: Laggan Sub - Mar 10 Author: KickingHorse The lad thought the next eastbound would be 112 which would have been great but alas just another grain empties.
Date: 03/10/19 18:19 Re: Laggan Sub - Mar 10 Author: KickingHorse The lad wants to hang out at Castle for 112 but that could be a couple of hours so west again.
201 and 603 are already stopped on the North track waiting for 2 more eastbounds out of Field and 301 will join them. I went part way down the hill and the first eastbound hits the scanner at 130.2 So I U-turn and then notice it's another grain empties so I go back east and catch it on the South track as 603 sits on the North track. Date: 03/10/19 18:25 Re: Laggan Sub - Mar 10 Author: KickingHorse Thinking the next eastbound which is now out of Field is 112 it's back up to the Lake Ohara Road crossing.

Looks like all those empty autracks I've seen heading west the past couple of weeks are now going back east full of autos.
