Carol, Mike - Currently at Winnipeg with a projected departure of 0200 which will make us 3.5 hours down.  CN had a broken drawbar yesterday and a broken wheel today so all considered we aren't doing too bad.  Plenty of potential to make time up. Pics later.

It appears the Moonlighters got an expedited stop at Winnipeg, which is scheduled for a 3.5 hour layover from 19:00 to 22:30. Their train arrived at 00:55 and was gone at 02:39, making the stop in just half the usual allotted time.

It's a round trip affair between Vancouver and Toronto, starting in Vancouver.

There were 103 riding east and 70-some riding west, with 11 of those making the round trip.  Very thankful the CN train with the brocken wheel didn't go "in the bush" as that could have been the end of the eastbound run.  I didn't see it but someone from CN on board did, he said a large part of the wheel was "gone".  I'll add a few photos when time allows.

You may be thinking of the Juno Awards special (attached to the end of #73) that ran from Toronto to London on Friday the 15th.  The so-called special return on Monday the 18th did not have the same equipment that went down which included Glenfraser, a Skyline and Park car. There were merely four coaches added to #72.
