Canada Adventure Day 2: Ontario Southland's Ex BCOL M420W's

On the 11th we started day 2 of Canada trip with a visit to the Ontario Southland. Our original plan was to see the "pretty pair" of matching FP9A's, but the 2 days we were there they were split. So we photographed the St. Thomas train with Ex CP GP9 and FP9A #1401. Then caught the Woodstock train with GP9 #1594 and FP9A #1400 heading to Putnam. We then made the great decesion to head to Guelph in hopes of finding the Ex BCOL M420W pair. Luck was on our side as we rolled into town we head the OSR 647 talking to the CN L542. We saw the L542 come into town with CN GMD1 #1444 leading. Then we found the M420W pair working and would watch them work a few places before coming back into town. While the 1st job was busy working another OSR job came in with a pair of GP9's. We would then follow the M420W's south as they ran light power. After that we headed to Aldershot and Hamilton to see some VIA, GO and CN. Enjoy!!!

For me this was one of my favorite catches of our entire trip. I love BCOL so to see these paired in 2019 was a pure sight to see

The second shot of this duo is really something in terms of the geometry and apparent track gradient. Looks a little frightening; better set the derails. Nice shot.
