Canadian Railroads > CN Test Track Evaluation Systems 1501Date: 04/10/19 12:50 CN Test Track Evaluation Systems 1501 Author: Jimmies 1) CN Track Evaluation machine 1501 has just rounded the east leg of the Sarnia wye, and waits by the LDS shop for train 397 to pass by, before being allowed to cross the main to go onto the Point Edward spur.
2) 1501 at the Devine Street crossing. In the background can be seen a small part of the Imperial Oil plant. 3) Crossing at Ferry Dock Hill in downtown Sarnia. This particular location was a very busy spot when the car ferries used to run across the St.Clair River, as this track was used for loading/unloading the ferries. Then the new St.Clair River tunnel was built to handle the double stacks and high-cube cars and that was the end of that operation. Jim |
