TH&B 76

An anonymous photographer took TH&B 76 in an unknown location in May 1973.

Bob, I'm thinking this is TH&B  Chatham Street roundhouse in Hamilton, Ontario.  I looked at some slides I have from the shop area, and comparing the one I have attached to the slide you posted, the light pole, lights and stuff on the pole from a different angle sure look the same. Maybe coincidence, maybe not.

#76 has that massive 800 gallon fuel tank. Of course as short as this line is it shouldn't be a problem.

Actually TH&B 76 is a GP7, 71 to 77 and ran short hood forward. 71 was the first GP7 built in Canada, was to be preserved in a museum but was unfortunately destroyed in a horrific crossing accident and fire.
401, 402, 403 were GP9  built equipped with steam generator, torpedo air tanks on the roof and ran long hood forward.

What a beautiful clear image Bob.
#75 and #76 had there fuel tanks enlarged in the 80s.
