Canadian Railroads > Orange and Shiny!Date: 05/27/19 01:06 Orange and Shiny! Author: ghCBNS When you get the opportunity for a shot of a clean unit on Genesee and Wyoming’s Cape Breton and Central Nova Scotia Railway...you take it!
Port Hawkesbury NS, May 25, 2019 Date: 05/27/19 05:48 Re: Orange and Shiny! Author: moonliter Yes clean units are always nicer in my estimation. G&W generally keep their units looking good once they have been painted orange. Hopefully, no one adds a lower case "gh" to the CBNS...the railway would have to look too far for a prime suspect!
Gerry Gaugl Ottawa ON Date: 05/27/19 06:45 Re: Orange and Shiny! Author: thehighwayman I am not trying to start a flame war or anything like that, but I think the G&W paint scheme is very close to ugly.
This is not a criticism of G&W ... my goodness, they have proved they know how to run railways! But that hideous orange is awful. And no, I am not a fan of the BNSF paint schemes either, except for the Grinstein cream & green. Will MacKenzie Dundas, ON Date: 05/27/19 07:45 Re: Orange and Shiny! Date: 05/27/19 13:28 Re: Orange and Shiny! Author: Jimmies I agree with (today's)comment by the highwayman. For me though, I think it's the yellow combined with the orange that makes the G&W schemes so, well, unattractive. If that yellow was black instead, it would look much better.

Well of course it is, but it's still an unfortunate clash of colours. Date: 05/28/19 16:05 Re: Orange and Shiny! Author: feclark Nice catch, and I always liked the "tunnel motor" look of the GP15.
