CN RS18, Ontario Northland F unit with an older paint scheme and a couple steam generator cars at the always interesting CN Spadina shops. We stocked the diners and got the sleepers ready for the Super Continental, for example -- this included seeing mechanical forces sliding ice blocks under certain cars for air conditioning. Blocks of ice were 2×5 feet! Diners required a crew of 10 -- Steward (Boss), Chef, First Cook, Second Cook, Third Cook, Pantryman (Dishwasher), and four Waiters. It was a great working class, muliticultural mix of people on onboard -- one of my fondest memories of the time working out of Spadina Yard. Three cooks, four waiters. Sounds like the Ritz! Date: 06/12/19 17:34 Re: A few units at CN Spadina roundhouse Author: EL833 Good stuff gcm, great use of the backlighting to highlite the steam.
