Like eminence_grise, I also used boxcars to gain elevation.  In this case, a few CN cars spotted at the Brada elevator gave me the ideal spot to catch an eastbound freight on the Aberdeen Sub, six miles into it's run from North Battleford to Humboldt SK.  Flying a single white flag, I think this was the last time I saw a stock car in revenue service.  June, 1977.

From that vantage point you also captured the transition from roof walks to removed roof walks.
