Is it possible to buy city bus tickets or Occasional card in the train/bus station on a Sunday afternoon ?

Yeh, I saw that, but most of their infor is in French and not detailed as to what they staff, what fare media they sell, and when.

Thank you. I'll print that out for when I am there in a few weeks.

I am there every 1 or 2 years, but not into the details and never ventured onto their city buses. I have an OPUS card for Montreal, but I dont think it woud work in QC.

Until very recently, the entire transit bus fleet was Nova buses. There are now four Van Hool midi buses in the fleet.

Whether in Montreal, Quebec City, or Saguenay, it is all a boring monotony of 40' LF Novas or the Artic version. Some of them have a huge glass slide-glide door. Never seen those in the US. Maybe the US plant doesn't do those. About 10 -15 years ago, Montreal had some white and red GMD Fishbowls that must have purchased from OC Transpo.

I am staying in a hotel in the Upper part this time, taking the 800 Bus (also to Chute Montmorency), so I am not going to haul my luggage up there, though I know there is an elevator on a cliff near the Hotel Royal William. I usually stay there, but their rates this year are ridiculous. .

Well, I got an answer back from Montreal's STM as to whether I can use their OPUS card to load Quebec City RTC fares onto it. They said YES. The car is limited to 4 different types of fares on it at a time, like STM, RTL, EXO, RTC, etc.
