Canadian Railroads > chill outDate: 07/21/19 08:02 chill out Author: hoggerdoug This ought to cool you off on a hot summer day.
Taken around mile 24 on the BC Rail Tumbler subdivision February 1985. I recall that we were running north, light engines back to Tumbler or Murray after pushing a coal train south up and over the mountain. The coal train had some issues with the power and we were required to assist the train to Wakely. Made for a long trip. Anyhow, sunrise on the mountain. I recall the coal train had two electric units as well and they were having issues and so we pushed and assisted to Wakely. The coal train continued a few miles to Tacheeda where the electric units were swapped for 3 diesels for the trip to Prince George.
